After a MA in International and Diplomatic Relations at Torino University with a final paper about economic relations between Italy and the two main Balkan countries: Croatia and Serbia Montenegro, I spent the last year involved in different volunteering projects. Yet, already during the last two University years, I happened to be in Balkans several times for language courses and field-work for my final dissertation.
I left Italy right after graduation to go to Guatemala where I was involved as a coordinator in a volunteering project related to the afterwards of the Guatemalan civil war. I lived for three months in a Maya community where I came across a different culture. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to do some field-work and an inside analysis of concepts such as poverty and inequality.
After this expereince, I did the European Volunteerin Service in Bosnia and Herzegovina. My tasks was mostly related to social works with high-school students belonging to different religious communities. In the meantime, I wrote an on-line diary "BaccanoBalcano" on an Italian newspaper named www.varesenews.it concerning nowadays Bosnia.
At the moment, I am enrolled in a MA in Economics of Development at the Institute of Social Studies in Den Haag, Holland.
