Producción Musical Multicanal; Un Enfoque Practico

This work approaches the subject matter of the Multichannel Music Production, discipline that one finds in a stage of maturity in the principal Record world Industries, but that in Chile newly this one giving his first steps.
This work is focused first from a technical theoretical look, support being considered to be the principal means for this technology (DVD-Video, DVD-Audio and SACD or Súper Audio CD), the codification formats more used nowadays to mixing multichannel to the domestic market, are these pills or of down bitrate like (Dolby Digital AC-3, DTS, SRS) or formats destined for the Hi-Fi sector, without compression or with some system of Lossles compression like LPCM, MDP or DST.
Later there details the Acoustic and Electro-acoustics implementation necessary for the accomplishment of Multichannels works. In this point topics are included like: Room Acoustics orientated to multichannel works, Requirements of Hardware and Software of a Multichannel Studio, Consoles and DAW´s, Measurements and system calibration of 6 channels, Bass Management, Multichannel Miking Techniques, Considerations for high definition Audio (over 48 KHz), DVD Authoring (sight in the relating thing to the audio).
The second part of this work seeks to compile some artistic and aesthetic bosses who are advisable to confront a work in the field of the multichannel mixing, taking in counts the opinion of some engineers with bast experience in the branch (principally of USA).
To finish this work there realizes an experimental work consisting of the mixing of some tracks in multichannel format in DVD-Audio using some of the formats of digital current codification, in order to apply the theoretical and artistic aspects compiled in this work.

6 i Resumen Este trabajo aborda la temática de la Producción de Música Multicanal, disciplina que se encuentra en una etapa de madurez en las principales Industrias Discográficas mundiales, pero que en Chile recién esta dando sus primeros pasos. Este tema es enfocado primero desde una mirada técnica teórica, considerándose los principales medios de soporte para esta tecnología (DVD-Video, DVD-Audio y SACD o Súper Audio CD), los formatos de codificación mas usados hoy en día para llevar una mezcla multicanal al mercado domestico, sean estos comprimidos o de bajo bitrate como (Dolby Digital AC-3, DTS, SRS) o formatos destinados a el sector Hi-Fi, sin compresión o con algún sistema de compresión sin perdidas (Lossles) como LPCM, MDP o DST. A continuación se detalla la implementación Acústica y Electroacústica necesaria para la realización de trabajos Multicanales. En este punto se abarcan temas como: Acústica de locales orientada a trabajos multicanales, Requerimientos de Hardware y Software de un Estudio Multicanal, Consolas y Estaciones de Trabajo para Audio Digital (DAW), Mediciones y calibración de sistemas de 6 canales, Manejo de Bajas Frecuencias (Bass Management), Técnicas de Microfoneo Multicanal, Consideraciones para Audio de alta definición (sobre 48 KHz), Autoría de DVD (vista en lo concerniente al audio). La segunda parte de este trabajo busca recopilar algunos patrones artísticos y estéticos que sean recomendables para afrontar un trabajo en el campo de la mezcla multicanal, tomando en cuenta la opinión de Ingenieros con experiencia en el ramo (principalmente de USA).
