CFD Modelling of Fluidized Bed Reactors

In the first section an investigation about the transition from bubbling to slugging fluidization for a fluidized bed reactors, composed by group B Geldart powders. The analysis has been performed with computational fluid dynamics techniques. Simulations have been carried out with the commercial code CFX 4.4, using the granular kinetic theory.
In the second section a qualitative study of the volumetric distribution gas phase inside a fluidized bed reactors, containing a volatiles emitting combustible particle has been accomplished.
