Conceptual Improvements in ABC Pedal System of Automobile

The word pedal comes from the Latin (Pes, Pedis) and relates to the foot. A pedal is a lever activated by one's foot.
The principle of the lever tells us that the above is in static equilibrium, with all forces balancing. An automobile has usually three pedals, from left to right. Clutch pedal was operated by the left foot: Brake pedal was operated by the right foot, which is usually wide and elevated well above the car floor accelerator, controls air supply to the automobile's engine. It is usually narrow and close to the car floor allowing the driver's heel to rest on the car floor.
Bicycle pedal, on a bicycle, each of two platforms at the end of the crank arms, connected such that while the crank arms rotate, the pedals can stay parallel to the shoe soles. This human powered rotation provides the propulsion, usually through a bicycle chain that makes the back wheel turn. In the case of a back pedalling brake, they are also used for applying the brake in the back wheel, again through the chain.
Presently we have considered our attention towards the improvements of ABC (Acceleration, Brake, Clutch) pedal systems of automobile considering the drivers comfort and safety. I have tried to analyse the different ways of improving the comfort and safety in using the pedals of all kinds of automobile. Initially we have gathered the information from different customers and explored the real problems of using the ABC pedals. We prioritized the needs of customer and by using FAST analysis technique we understood the functionality of each and every component of ABC system in detail. After FAST analysis I have performed the Quality function deployment to set the targets and goals to our project by understanding the Competitors and where they stand with respect to the customer requirements. At the end by Intuitive and logical methods I Have developed different concepts and these were evaluated by using the weighted decision matrix method to eliminate the infeasible concepts.
